Corryong Skate Park
In early 2024, Towong Shire was successful in securing funding to construct a new skate park in Corryong on the former school site on Hansen Street. Towong Shire engaged 12P Consulting’s Tim Shilling to oversee the technical aspects of the construction process. The construction specification required attention to detail in the construction process to ensure that the concrete finish and quality characteristics were achieved.
In addition, the park layout necessarily included a number of horizontal and vertical curves that were critical to the design and usability of the skatepark and these inclusions need to be strictly controlled. Tim’s 25 years of concrete construction supervision experience and civil engineering background were instrumental in providing advice to the Council and laising with the contractor - Haley Constructions.
By overlaying the AutoCAD design drawings on top of frequent site scans, we were able to advise on conflicts and amend the original design quickly while avoiding any conflicts during the change process. The imagery below and in the gallery shows the construction progress.
