Corowa Saleyards Upgrade

A sheet from the grant application package.

12P Consulting prepared concept drawings and a fly-through 3D model for a grant application for the Corowa Saleyards in early 2020. The model and associated cost estimates were prepared for Federation Council during their negotiations with the NSW Government in seeking funding for a major upgrade at the site.

The modelling included drawing up a 19,000m2 roof over the existing sheep pens, sizing up a new weigh bridge, water tank system, truck wash, truck parking and concept designs for a new “multi-purpose learning centre” in conjunction with TAFE NSW.

The project secured funding in October and featured in the Border Mail. The Federation Council media release is located here.

To produce the documentation, 12P Consulting used a combination of aerial site scan techniques to create the base terrain model and then modelled the various proposed new site elements to create the overall concept design. With this approach, the elements could be checked within the model to detect any conflicts during the concept design process.
